Tour Information

Coach
One of the most important elements of your holiday is the coach. The coach we use is fully air conditioned and equipped with reclining seats, on-board toilet, video and drinks dispenser. Bikes will be stored and carried whilst fully assembled in a specially built bike trailer.

Bike Bags
We suggest you acquire a bike bag or box to prevent your bike being damaged during travel to and from Europe. We can put you in touch with a supplier if required.

Tour Guides
From Paris we will be accompanied by an experienced Sporting Tours guide who will ensure the day to day organisation runs smoothly. Each day there will be one guided ride but usually there are a number of ride options thus catering for each person's ability and desire. In addition, Judy, my wife, and I will be riding our bikes wherever possible. We will be available at all times to advise and support our group from New Zealand and to share our experience of cycling in France, French customs and the Tour de France organisation.

Hotel Accommodation
The hotels we stay in are graded *3 & *4. Most rooms are air conditioned and equipped with private bath/shower, TV and telephone. Accommodation is on a twin share basis. However, a single room supplement payment option is available for those who do not wish to share a room. The tour cost includes bed, buffet breakfast and most evening meals.

Newsletters
Once you have made your booking you will be kept up to date until departure next year through regular newsletters containing information, tips etc about issues like gearing, clothing and language that you might find useful on your trip. We will also include a list of who is in the tour group.

Making Your Own Travel Arrangements
Please note our tour commences and finishes in Paris and is based on you making your own travel arrangements to and from France.

Booking and Payment
A booking form can be downloaded from our website. To confirm your booking a deposit is required to be paid by 1 December 2011, this is 33% of the tour cost with the balance being required on or before 1 April 2012. Your airfare would be additional to this. Payment of a deposit of (NZ $1,800.00) will secure a place on the tour.

Official Operator for Tour de France
Your Tour de France booking is made in association with Sports Tours International (U.K) who are an approved official operator of Tour de France Tours. They have been organising TDF tours for 18 years and are recognised as one of the best in the business.
